Fuel "spitting" up carb on fresh Dasa 1000 rebuild------please help if you can.

Hey guys-
I just took the ski to the water to do a water test while it was on the trailer and it fired right up. I had the flame arrestors off and immediately noticed fuel being ejected up and out of the front carb. It stumbled and would not stay running on its own. I restarted it a couple times hoping it would fix itself but of course its a real issue and I have no idea what would cause this condition.
Any ideas?

Could be a broken reed, Reed stuffers will do this but they will normally do it from both carbs

Thanks-when I reassembled the motor I did check the reeds and they looked like new.
Who knows, maybe I missed something.

Hey—you were right! One of carbon fiber reed pedals was gone.
I just got the ski back together and I will be heading out tomorrow to test again.
