The question of WHAT happens if I fund this project and the target is not met has been asked by a few non contributors..

answer

We made it flexible funding as I know i can cover $4 to $5k if it fell short by this much and am willing to spend that extra chunk on top of the money i have already invested. I see this as a stepping stone to a bigger show. However if we are too low. Then yeah. read below.

If we do NOT raise the funds - I have two choices.

1. If I do not get the funds, I am not wanting to make a half assed TV show that no one ever wants to screen ( 1 camera angle just does not cut it at an event like this, imagine tennis with 1 camera angle). I have one shot to make us Stand Out from the crowd and will not risk the chance for a lack of funds. If i cannot afford the right crew, I will converse with all funders and make a group decision. I can definitely still make a cool DVD for all contributors, but ditch the TV Shows until we manage to obtain proper funding for Coverage.

2. I can refund all contributors and then I have to pay Indie gogo the 9% they have kept of whatever the total is. This may be the cheapest way out for me.

So at this point of project, option 1 or 2 is not what I had hoped for.

3. You all buy a copy and we this project off the ground.. You gain prestige

Yep, it's usually the companies that throw the money up to get sports on television, not the athletes. Truth be told, they're the only ones who truly benefit.

However, I'd love to see this sport on television again and maybe with increased participation prices may be able to fall a bit cheaper.

we are talking to sponsors - but no success yet. if you have a company and want to be the headline promoter with marketing on fuel TV. Contact us.

Why bother doing the footage yourself when somone is already doing it. There is a TV network call Untamed Sports they run a jetski show almost EVERYDAY it shows races and the freestyle events. Heck today they showed the Nationals from Havasu. My point being if you have an in with Fuel Tv why not find out who is making the shows for Untamed and see about helping them get it on Fuel. FYI I work for a TV staion in Birmingham AL and we run the Untamed Sports programming on one of our sub channels.

I've never heard of a channel called Untamed Sports. Seeing as these guys live half across the world they probably don't even know that show exits. I haven't donated because like others have said I feel the companies I spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars with for performance parts over the years should step up to the plate. 5 big players donate 5K each. Problem solved.

Do explain plz

I feel like you're playing devils advocate, but i'll bite.

If major companies that cater to the sport don't benefit from this, than it would stand to reason you feel the participants (I.E. majority of members of this forum) gain something?

Lets think about that. Lets say 2000 people nation wide decide after watching the video they're gonna start riding and actually do it. That means that the price of used skis will go up... A benefit if you're selling. A bag of suck if you're just looking for a second ski. 20% of them will by a kawi JS, and then flood the site with "How do I change the oil?" questions and they'll get offended when we all tell them to buy a superjet. Which goes back to the rising cost of used skis.

Its safe to say that there are no new OEM skis available because of the restriction on 2 strokes.

So you get people buying used skis and wanting to up grade so they can do "sick backies" like the guy on TV. Where are they gonna get parts from? Who's gonna rebuild their motor? Who's gonna sell them billet couplers? (LOL inside joke) The aftermarket, the manufactures.... thats who. This thing has Blowsion written all over it IMO.

I took issue with the bolded part of the quote:

Truth be told, they're the only ones who truly benefit.

*Though I do have some reservations about our hobby getting any more exposure than it already has. Exposure brings more participants, resulting in more attention, regulation, and bans.

bros...everyone that busts sick backies and one hander one footers will be famous after this show airs!.... just think of the fame, fortune and hot babes that all the rippers will be basking in after they hit the bigtime...that sounds like some good benifits to me!...now everybody will be able to afford a sick billit motor and a color coordinated riding costume...i cant wait to see the action unfold on the big screen!
