So I have decided to build up my fx-1 after swearing I wasn't going to.lol I have it stripped at the moment waiting on a few parts. So I thought I might as well take pics of the process. As of now, it's just a bare stock fx-1 hull.

I have a ton of mods to throw at it in the coming weeks. All I needis my aluminum pump shoe to get this all started, which is on it's way. Once done, I hope it's everything I was hoping on. In stock form it was a blast to ride. I will be doing:
Bonzi Bob 144 pump conversion
True FX-1 Factory B-pipe
Lightened flywheel
AC handpole
Jet dynamics intake grate and rideplate
Aluminum SJ pump shoe
Bilge pump
MSD enhancer
UMI quickturn plate
Fiberglass work inside dyed black to clean up the inside of the ski. Plus some other misc stuff. Here are a few pics of what she looks like so far, plus some of the parts I have for her... Look at the pump pics, the 144 impeller is bigger than the entire oem fx1 pump.lol

I then stripped the ski down to nothing. Cut the tray area out to access the pump shoe area from thie inside to lay some glass.

the new pump shoe went in fairly smooth, after a lot of grinding. Also have the engine compartment dyed black now. Should look really good after I polish the B-pipe chamber and ADA head. I also cut the rear edge off at the bond line.

Cool.......Here's comes another Killer FX!!

You might have to mess with your steering cable tube when it comes time to fit the pump shoe, which isn't a bad thing since the factory setup is kinda hokey anyway.

im did the same conversion but i haven't done anything with the pump shoe yet, Is it easier to grind out the 122 stock pump shoe and back fill it with tooling epoxy or should i just get a 144 pump shoe and plan on doing some glass work?

I'm soooo jealous!!!! Thanks for the pics and info. When your done with yours I'll drive all the way out there so you can work on mine k??? jk, looks good though, keep it up.

Thanks man, the ski will be getting prepped for paint all this week. Then its just a matter of spraying it and putting it all back together. A few more weeks... Its actually all been pretty easy so far

Sorry Rabbott, Hardcore has my coffman setup that I was running. But I did get my new Hooker impeller yesterday and rebuilt my pump with new bearings and seals, and put the Hooker on there. It's sexy!lol

Almost ready for paint....I glassed the tray piece back in and installed the footholds. Tomorrow I will be glassing in the footholds as Ijust finished putting them in. Now its just a matter of finishing wetsanding the top deck, filling in a few spots on the bottem and sanding that down. Then either epoxy or silicone the pumpshoe in and spray it. Then I can finally put this beast back together. Just trying to figure out whether I should polish or paint the AC handpole. I was thinking it might get really hot in the sun if I polish it.

On a sidenote, I would like to say that Wamiltons is by far the best company I have EVER dealt with. I ordered my footholds on Jan 4th, and they showed up Feb 2nd. I talked to him and he was extremely sorry for the delay and refunded me some money back. ALOT of it too, I even called him after I got the email from paypal and asked him why he refunded me so much, he said because it was our mistake and I don't want to loose your business. I highly recommend dealing with them. I will def be ordering from them again when I need something.

why did you pay for a modded pump when you were already grinding out for the shoe? Would it have been much more work just to move the mounts?
Not trying to sound like a dick, just curious since im planning on the same sometime soon

Shadow, I bought infamy's ski.lol It had the bonzai bob pump in it and the factory b-pipe, So I stripped that ski and sold it to Hardcore and kept all the parts. I then stripped my ski down, the one this build is about. I couldn't see putting a Kawi pump into it.
