The impeller on my last FX1 was a 17/23, not sure if it was a Solas.
I found that it was not useful for low end anything. It had great top end though, it could almost keep up with my wifes B1.
I don't know what a good pitch would be or whats available for the FX1 pump. maybe an 11/17 or that range would be more what your looking for.
as far as i know, solas made a 17/23, 18/24 and a 19/25. I think that the 17/23 was for a stock motor. I have an 18/24 and a 19/25, and for me, the 18/24 is not tall enough. the 19/25 though, performs really well, from bottom to top.
My ski had a 19-25 with a stock motor and it hooked nicely. I could pop the ski out of the water from a stop and it pulled until almost 50 mph probably.
Cuz i'm talking about the fx1 of my friend, that cavitate a lot. I will check the drive shaft bearings and seals if they leak.. and the gap between the impeller and de wear ring, what else can make the pump cavitate ? I'm talking about; always in the cut off even on a mirror lake, like if the pump dont want to load up .. yep he got a intake grate with stock engine... thanks for help and opinions guys
