We need to get up with Gil and plan out some dates,I am kinda limited on dates having one here but I am thinking a couple of weeks after the Pensacola ride for the one here if I can get all the ducks in a row.

i guess ill be the first tire kicker. we have three good options in thier different way to put on a freeride. option 1, underneath interstate 759 bridge. camping ground for campers next door, small patch of woods you might could pitch a tent and a few people could probally leave a trailer in the water. probally would run off some local natives from fishing but who cares. probally would need to get with the city on this one. option 2, Neals place. its at a closed down marina in Southside, Rainbowcity. little to no camping but close to a partying sandbar to hang out. this is where we usually ride and always have a good time. the cat and steeldog and a few others have been here numerous times and also like it. probally the best option as we also have grills set up here. option 3, greensport. its a little out of the way but thiers an island that can be rented. when your there, your just there and absolutely no camping. what yall think?

I vote option 2 and stay at a cheap motel, there will be plenty of opportunity for those that want to camp at the Lake Martin ride.Is this the old Tracy J place you are referring to?

you got it. got 6 boat slips there. can camp. about 1.5 to 2 mile trip to sand bar where anything goes. have pontoon available to haul gas and beer. wake boats welcome

Though I'm a big fan of camping, the party sand bar sounds great. I'm going option 2. Lets make it happen!

Sounds good I think the Pensacola freeride is 24th,25th and 26th of April, now if we can get Paul Lehr to chime in and tell us whether or not hes doing the SFF this year I can come up with a date for the Lake Martin ride.

Alabama is closer to me than Pensacola, and if that Chicken Bone is in the lagoon again this year, I would honestly just as soon go to Alabama. I think most would agree. Florida is great, but I don't want to go to the beach and ride a big lake. Though that is mostly what the gulf is, haha. However there was a small amount of surf going on during the Chicken Bone this year. There was actually NICE surf in Destin. :headbang:

yep, 29,31,31. best we can tell, theres nothing else going on in that time frame and the water should be warming up good by then. schools should be out by then too

ky isnt a bad drive. thats where i drove to buy my ski. forget the city but it was past the corvette plant and paduka. a little over 5 hours doing the speed limit or close to it anyway. drove up there, turned around and came straight back. it was damn cold and snow on the ground.

I live about 45 mins south of Paducah. It's not bad. I can be in Birmingham in around 5 hours. Not bad!

We live about 45 to 50 min north of B ham

If they are still there I'll snag those bangin' ass carbs on the way down!! Damn I want those things. I really need to hit the loto. Guess I would need to play it to hit it though, right?
