Gone to 753cc v.little bottom end

HI

I have a freestyle tuned superjet(B-pipe,High comp head, 753cc etc etc) Basically before i had it bored it would pull like a train and was very nippy. Had it bored and put back together and since the bottom end (i.e no throttle to half) has gone to an extent it just seems to bog. However bottom end does sometimes seem to be ok. Once it gets to half throttle its perfect. Dads an engine builder so we've done all the obvious things. Spark plugs, adjusting low speed jets for summer, fuel lines etc. Also it smokes quite a lot which made us think needle and seat maybe but then it runs well sometimes so not to sure. If anyone has any ideas then they would be very much appreciated as i want to get it sorted before 'summer'. if it ever comes.

Cheers

Maybe after the rebuild, the pipe water bleeds have trash or corrosion in them. Go ahead and pull your headpipe out, remove all the adjuster screws, check and clean bleed holes, reinstall and adjust. For a starting point for freestyle, top closed, mid closed, bottom 1 turn. This is just a starting point, not necessarily what I run or what you will end up with but a good starting point.

i always thought the general consensus for this application was bottom closed, middle closed and top open 1 turn.

I have been saying that for years on these forums

If you add water at the top it just kills the pipe compared to having it in the bottom
