Good news / bad news

The good news is it looks like I will be in attendence.The bad news is the only stand up I have that has a chance of running is the monsterous 78 model 440 hull /550 engine ski that was built years ago.It was built out of spare parts for my step son about ten years ago.It hasn't run in two years and a tree fell on it during Katrina and broke the handlepole,I stuck a battery in it last night ,shot it with some carb cleaner and it cranked up ,ran,idled and sounded wonderful.So a coat of paint on the handlepole,some last minute turfing and cleaning and its good to go.The only other option is the thunderjet,while possible it isn't probable at this point.Maybe intervention by the Jetski Gods will make it run by next weekend.:woot:

Thank the IRS for that one,at the time I had plenty of time to finish the ski but lacked the money to do so,the IRS graciously decided to hold my money for me for about a two month period there ,so I am now in the middle of jetski season with couches running out my ears and I have the opposite problem.Plenty of money to finish the ski but no time to do it .Ask Charles how many skis were here when he came by Saturday.
