Goodbye Engine

Sank my ski while out on one of the last rides of the season. Instead of charging the battery and doing the proper drainage/clean up I went out with the woman. Put the battery on charge the next day and didn't get around to draining it properly till the weekend.

Next ride out in midair I heard a loud bang and knew I was screwed. Limped into shore on one cylinder and left it till today's tear down.

I knew I was in trouble when I found this in the engine compartment.

Lesson learned and time to upgrade.

Stripped the engine today. Was shocked how minimal the damage was. It still ruined almost everything, but there was minimal debris. And to think somehow this got me back to shore on one cylinder. IMG_3435.JPG IMG_3438.JPG IMG_3439.JPG IMG_3441.JPG
