The head mount is useless for stand up riding- unless you like plastic tearing the bridge of your nose up. The GoPro "chesty" chest mount would be a much better choice. I am going to try it out this week with the new wide GoPro I got.

...Or just use the helmet mount.That chest mount would be prone to getting hit with the pole pad.

Maybe- I rode with my standard GoPro in the chest mount (aims too low-the wide angle will be a lot better probably), and didn't hit it against the pole once, but then again I'm not super-crazy- I just subbed a few times and did some stabs- no rolls or other things. Some of you crazy bastards will probably run into that problem though.

By far. I had the Oregon Sci camera too...it is pretty bad quality-wise. Short of going with a majorly expensive setup like this:

you can't go wrong with the Go Pro. I got mine for $135 shipped off Ebay, so I'd say that's a pretty reasonable price to pay for something with the potential it has.

ive used to new go pro for a min now and it works great. i use the helmet mount and have been rocked in the surf and it still holds on.

the helmet mount is the only way to go. the video even comes out smooth on my mountain bike, i think the chest and head mount would give you shaky footage. i would never trust the adhesive mount. pay a few extra bucks now instead of another 130 later

nice vid, that trail looks hella fast


this was a few miles into the race, my legs were burning and forearms were jello from the rocky trail. pedal meets tree at 2:50, i passed the guy at 3:25 a few miles later, he was blowing chunks from trying to hard.

For Florida, the video I posted was pretty nice and flowing. You can definitely get some speed on that section, it's a blast to ride. I'm heading up to N. Carolina and N. Georgia in a couple weeks for some downhills- can't wait.

yea its at a 2400 acre ranch that was turned into a county park, Reimers ranch, just a few miles from my house. 20+ miles of trails. ive seen a few different vids from Florida and am impressed with the trails for such a flat state. im dying to go to new mexico or colorado to ride downhill

I took a trip to Colorado, Utah and Arizona and rode out there this past May. Out of all of them, I'd have to say Thunder Mountain in Red Canyon, UT was the best ride. Fruita COlorado was pretty kick ass too. You have to check them out.
