I bought a gtx2 a few years ago, did a kawi 900 build and never really loved it.
This year I yanked the motor out and decided to swap in a 701- much more fun now, but still wasn't right. I was using the Rhaas Yamaha conversion plates and his mounts. Had big vibrations etc..
I have since cut out the stock aluminum plate mounts and will be replacing them with ones I make.
I want this to be a more freestyle boat- fun surf toy.
Question- Should I move the mounts back 2"??? Will this help me with my goals???? I have a driveshaft that fits the bearing support, and pump that is 2" shorter. So I can continue to run it as a stock SXR location bottom deck or move it back.
Any thoughts or opinions?
