Oh man. It must have been around 2013 I ran across this and just had to have it. I remember the original build of around 09 from mcdog and broc. Then one lovely day it shows up local to me in Texas on Craigslist and well... now fast forward to 2019, I finally dug it out of the shop. Robbed the motor out of my superjet and went in all in to get it back on the water. It came with no motor or electronics. Well here it is all back together and ready for it’s first ride since????

Close to 10 years ago that ski was built.
Mine has probably collecting dust in someone's garage.l saw it about 3 years after l built it at Daytona on a sitting on the beach. The guy that owned it asked if l had ever seen one before..
I said no :)

Got any pics of the inside you can show?

Not sure what happened to all the turf on the ski. As you touch it, it literally just falls apart now. It’s been stored inside and was honestly in great shape just 2-3 years ago as that was the last time I had seen it till now.

Had to repair a lot of things on the inside. The handle pole bracket, exhaust clamps, battery tray (or lack of) and some misc as they were all rusted and no stainless items used. It’s coming along nicely now.

First run was interesting. I didn’t even notice the pump didn’t sit up against the shoe. So cavitation was huge. Had to do some grinding to get the pump to slide further forward to seal against the shoe.

Second was water leaks. Not a hundred percent but I believe it’s the back corner where the hulls were joined. I primarily only takes on water when the rear is ever so slightly submerged. So that will be addressed shortly after o verify a few other fixes.

Third was the motor not able to turn any rpm. It would pull hard and fall on its face. The best thing I have found so far is not enough air intake into the ski. It had what appeared to be 4, 3/4 inch inlets thru the hood. Well they turned out to be 1/2 on the inside lol. So I believe and hope that’s starving the dual carbs. Also the water that would go in just shot a little bit of everywhere ultimately soaking the carbs. There were no hoses to direct it down. That will all be addressed this week as well.

All in all this looks to be a fun ski when all these little issues get cleaned up.
