H2O-X hood system from 24-7

Anyone have one of these things yet? They look pretty cool and i was thinking of getting one. I emailed the company twice now and never got a response. It that common with them? Seems like they might take a second to respond to an email if it means selling a $1500 part.... then again, maybe not.

it would be easy to switch back. if you want to switch it would be best to have a complete pole set up ready to bolt on or you could re-route the cables each time you switch.

the best description I can give is it's like a tiny blaster but better on your back.

but what do you guys think of the hood?
Do you like the feel of the ski? it looks like it put the bars too far back.
Is it worth $1500?
Have you ridden a Kawi X2? Can you give a comparison?

i second that....

It looks awesome, but how strong is it? That steering cant extend into the hood too far without hitting the motor, so how does it work? Wouldnt there be slack from the stock steering cable?

any pics of the inside??????

too far back for what? I think they're to far forward. I've ridden an x2 and it sucked so there is no comparison. fixed steering is where it's at! there should be a new fixed steering option soon...

the hood is very strong, I've split a heavily reinforced hull from under rotating rolls and the hood is still in good shape. there is plenty of room under the hood for the steering and works fine with the stock steering cable.

It is pretty easy, I just took a stock sn pole, cut off the head of it and bolted it to my hood with backing plates then I mounted a umi steering set up off a hx and it was good to go
