Super Jet Have the flywheel off. Should I grease or oil anything?

SquareNose 61x the flywheel came off fairly easy with a puller. I am replacing the stator and wanted to know if I should oil or grease anything like the bendix etc while I have it apart? Also if there is anything I should check/do before I put it back together?

I just grease the bendix ends a bit, that's about it. Not much else to check if you're replacing the stator. No cracks, starter sealing good, no stripped screws, think you're alright.

Light grease on starter splines and bendix gear. Not much or it'll fling off and serve no purpose but to make a mess inside your stator area. Manual calls for two stroke oil on threads of the flywheel bolt. Check you're crank seal for any obvious signs of failure. Careful not to loose the spring and washers that are in the stator cover, they've got a funny way of disappearing (don't ask how I know this). Some grease on the sping should hold it in there.

Dang I don't remember seeing any springs or washers?!

It might be stuck in the flywheel cover still.

Locktit the stator bolts in soo they dont come loos

also use some locktit like grease and put some on crank shaft and some inside the flywheel, it makes much easier to re-assemble and will almost guarentee you wont roll the shaft key when your torqen down the flywheel

Spring and washers are for the bendix! Guys had me worried I couldn't find any washers or springs for the flywheel! Everything went back together well and now I have GREAT spark! Yay!
