Looks like I'm headed to Hawaii for my Honeymoon in June. Would love to say I rode while there. Anyone out that way that might lend/rent me their ski for a 15min/half hour Brap session ?

I don't know of any riders in Hawaii that are on the X. I know they have couch rentals, but that's not worth the $$ IMO.

I would love to see how the territorial locals would react to see someone throwing down on a stand-up at their break...

That just doesn't happen, you'd end up in jail in a heartbeat. The restrictions on where you can ride around Oahu are just ridiculous. I was lucky I was military so I could ride at Hickam AFB with no hassles and we had a decent surf break.

There is a guy his screen name is "hilomikey", he is in Hilo obviously and I think he is on the PWCtoday site.
You can ride on Oahu, but as mentioned previously, in limited areas that is until you go a certain distance offshore, then you can circle the island if you wish.
Only place near Waikiki is to go out the inlet next to what is known as the reef runway at the airport, then way out.
Other nearby option is go northeast to Kanehoe side, not far from Honolulu, where you can ride pretty much anywhere. You can also ride in Hawaii Kai area, just east of Waikiki.
Aloha.

Cool - I'm not sure yet where we'll be but more over I need a ski? NO COUCHES - short of shipping my SJ It's going to be interesting to see what I can come up with. (As supportive as my fiance is - I don't think another G note on the $8G-10G its going to cost is going to go over well?):argue:

When I was there last year, I did hear of someplace that rents standups, but I can't recall any details. When you get there just ask some of the homies at the couch rental places, they will know.
