I have been working on X2's nonstop for the past 3 weeks getting the boats ready for the trip. Pulled the motors out, cleaned/lubed all the bearings, fuel filters, new bilges, reinforcing, ect. My brothers steering cable got water in it and it exploded when it got below freezing.... and rusted solid. So waiting on a new one and can finish putting his back together. Found out both of us had sand and crap building up in the small 90d fittings on the motors! Drilled the fittings out a little bigger while we were at it. Also been chipping away at some composite stuff. I am just counting the days till I can hit some waves!

Same here man.. Working non stop to get my hull ready. It's almost there now. Just have to finish reinforcing my hood and throw on a coat of paint. Should have the engine back at the end of the week, and a brand new SJ mod chamber by Friday. Also, I have some TRICK hood straps to try out in Daytona. Couldn't ask for a better set up to hold down the hood IMO. I'm stoked to show it off. I'll start posting some pics soon. Hood should turn out pretty light and strong also, but I won't know for sure until it hits the water on it's side a few times. Should be WAY better than the stocker I destroyed though. Can't wait for Daytona!!!

I am still new to the X2 world. I took mine out in the surf for the first time last Sunday. The waves were huge and the ski ran great. I had a blast. It is a hell of a lot more fun than the 95 xp I used to ride. I have only had it for about 6 months now but already I am looking at tearing it apart and doing some of the mods that you guys have done. Can't wait to see all the X2's in Daytona!

A bunch of newbs over there. I feel bad for Wedo having to tell them constantly to use the search...

I clean my storage building up some on Christmas, does that copunt? I am trying to stay off teh internet at work too, I guess that isn't working... I actually found that hood Wedo, I will get you some pics of it if you still need it. It was burried in a box and I didn't have it unpacked from moving. Then with the holidatys and my procrastination, well you know the rest.
