Helmet cam issues

I have a tachyon micro XC and seems like a nice unit. I was just wondering if anyone uses one and how they mount it. The mount that they give you seems ok but they also give you some 3m velcro stuff that seems quite strong. Just wondering if anyone has used the velcro stuff before? Thanks for any help you could be...

not familar with that cam, most of use the gopro cams. they come with 3mm heavy duty double sided tape. makes a nice permaninant stick, but i still tether it to the helmet just incase.
