Freestyle Help me get two flips in a row

So now that I have my killer PHP 1015 I’m getting crazy air on flips and I’m trying to get two in a row (or more). I know the ski can do it but I need to tweak my technique. I’m overrotating almost every flip. I’m also not getting giant air on many and I think it’s because I come off the setup wake almost straight up and then rotate too fast. I’m used to flipping a 781 so this is a whole different animal. How do I slow down? I’ve tried extending arms and legs and that helps but not enough. People say try less trim but I fear not having a good grip if I do that.

I think everything mentioned above is the reason I can’t get the second one around. It feels like I’m coming around so fast that I’m not in the water long enough to get any height on the second one. Anyway, video attached. Critique away!!

You could do 2 easy/basic things to slow rotaion, becasue it does looks like you are rotating fast.
1. try to let off the throttle a bit earlier ( so you flip with ex. 75% power of the setup, insted of 100%)
or
2- less trim. I put i middle finger between trimlever and my grips, triming about 50% (giving more height and slower rotaion)

Next options will be body work.
Looking good though :)

Thanks for the tips! I’ll give it a shot. Body work as in a new hull or lose some weight? (Both might help lol)

What really helped me get the second one was to focus on going up and then throwing my head back and pulling the ski around. Before that I was just yanking too soon and basically rotating on top of the water like your vid. Try to really focus on traveling upwards when leaving the water on your second one (it would help get more height on the first one too.)

This may or may not help you, but you can check out my videos on IG under @flippinfatguy. I don't use trim for anything but my setup wakes and i tend to get some height. That being said, i also am struggling with linking flips, my best so far is 4 but more than 2 is a struggle to do consistently. When linking flips I will use trim on all but the first.

Excellent combos you're working on with nice height on IG, keep up the hard work! Do you try to land just before a flatlander and avoid any partial nose in for the consecutives ?

Thanks sir! Been working hard on the 540 combo, licoriceered up my knee tho a bit so that slowed me down. On a big single or my initial flip I just try to go straight up with no trim, I don't yank on bars or squat other than to sink the pump for max boost. Once I am up ill look and usually am able to push or pull on ski to place nose wherever i want it, I try to dip the nose more if i am going for multiple flips, but its a fine line between too little and too much for me. I feel landing tail first to combo out is more consistent and controllable. But I am still working on timing for that, it's hit and miss. I am also running 175psi on pump gas, so I don't have that big low hit that a lot of other riders have, which i think has slowed my combo progression. At least that's what I tell myself so I can sleep at night haha.

Sweet man! I just watched a bunch of your videos. Your killin it!! What motor/pump/etc are you running? I’m currently on a stock 155. My 14 vein setback mag comes Monday. That should be a game changer from what I’m told.

What brand mag are you going with? Am I hearing your motor hitting a rev limiter?

Thanks man, working at it haha. XS 1200RR 175psi pump gas, 160 skat pump, FS49's, TL. Super fun ski, although i am looking forward to bumping the compression up to 220~
