300/440/550 Help my handle pole is crooked

Ok so it looks like the bracket is not perfectly centered in the channel where it goes. If you look at these two pics you'll see how the bracket is closer to the LH side. IMG_0232.JPG

And here is the RH side where it has a little larger gap between the bracket and the nose of the skiIMG_0233.JPG
I believe this is making it rub on the pole and the groove on top of hood in these two picsIMG_0234.JPG

Now I've unbolted the bracket and the plate inside the hull is completely loose but seems like the bracket on the outside is glued on... so what do I do??

Thanks for your help guys, and hopefully I get more replies than I have on my other threads.

The pole bushing are probably sloppy and that will cause rub

The hood may not be centered on the hull

That bracket is siliconed on there is why it won't move

Thanks, I was able to release the bracket last night with a putty knife. Gonna center it up and reinstall then gotta replace a broken stop switch and put in new/used throttle cable. Mine would drag real bad, I found a break in the housing while it was still installed and once I pulled it last night there were two other bad kinks as well!!

the bushing can wear also, not just the washers.replacement bushings are one piece so no separate washer.
you need to silicone the bracket in position also as the bolts alone will not hold it in position.
