I am looking for a crack team of mechanics :noevil:to help me on Thursday night at the Makai get my top end of my motor put back together. I won't have the bored cylinder back until right before I leave.... I'll be in the parking lot with tools and a new top end ready to go.... :usa2:

If anyone has some kind of wrench to help me torque down the cylinder on a Kawi that would be fantastic. (Socket wrenches do not fit on Kawi Cylinders)

Thanks in advance. Beer will be provided...:friday:

Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

Thanks Cattledog! I'll be there sometime Thursday....probably take a nap and then pull the ski into the Makai parking lot and get wrenching...It actually shouldn't take too long...once the motor is together, I can get it in the ski and all hooked up in about an hour.

Got it, just packed it in the tool box for shipment down with Henry. Torque is 25 ft lbs on the cyl to case and 22 on the head, unless you got an aftermarket one now, if so did you clearance the cyl for the girdle kit? Also DJ, do you still have the studs in the case or did you go to bolts?

Replaced the studs. The old ones were shot. I didn't clear the cyl....afraid to because it is all welded up. I only run about 155 compression anyway. I plan on building a second motor this winter. This will be my backup.

Cool I have blue locktite with me but I only brought an inch lb wrench this year, so it only goes to 20 ft lbs. Make sure to bring a ft lb one if you have it. I just didnt feel like packing it.
