Help!! oil ratio for a fx1?

Leaving for the lake soon and just realized i dont know what ratio to mix my fx1 to. Its all stock. Im sure its the same as SJs but yahoo search failed me there too...

What size engine these have?

I bet it's 50:1. But my 550 recommends 42:1.

also ive got some fully senthetic oil i thought about using but if i do can i switch back to synthetic blend without problems? i dont really wanny pay for synthetic all the time but i might as well use what i got

You should run the same oil for the engines whole life. If you change make sure the tank is fully empty and you arent mixing oils

Go a little rich until you get a "for sure" answer. Better to foul plugs than the alternative!

I've been running 50 to 1 in my FX's for 12 years.

My 94' FX1 had the factory decal below the gas cap that said 50:1.

I do not agree with same oil for the engines whole life....no way no how could that be true...like if metal has oil memory or has feelings....wtf

I think he's talking about synthetics and non-synthetics.

yamaha says 50:1. I personally run 40:1 for a little more safety.
