300/440/550 Help on Hull ID Numbers...

I'm picking up a couple old Kawasaki this weekend and have a couple questions about the Hull ID Numbers. Getting ski's for my sons. The one I have questions about is a Yellow ski with the # KAW 67224D677. From everything I've read, the yellow ski's were only made in '76. Any information/help would be appreciated. Thanks.

76' was the 400, then in 77' they started the 440. My brother had a 76' 400 and it was yellow. I thought the 77' 440's were white. but in my time of working at the Kawasaki factory in Lincoln, NE for 2 years I saw a lot of weird things..

I saw 650Sx and 750SX's that were last year models/graphics marked with the new year HIN#.
For example I saw 93 750SX being marked a 1994 HIN.
I also saw 93 650SX being marked as 94's too.

I've also seen 96' models that were new that were suppose to have the new big pin engine, but still had the original designed small pin 750 from 92!

Thats Kawasaki for ya!
They'll hire a bum off the street through a temporary company before they would pay a competent, reliable person a good wage...
Japanese crew chiefs running around with stop watches wanting everything done faster, faster, faster. Once you get good and fast at your job, they will add in more work along with that and tell you you need to go even faster now. It never ends.
Tight wad Japanese company Kawasaki is..

I was payed good because I welded quad/mule/bike frames.
My station was right by the Jetski lines. We would run out of parts and would have to go work on the Jetski lines and trust me they were some complete loosers assembling Jetskis. Straight bums off the street from temporary "work a while" employment companies.

I picked them up this weekend and it is a 1977, yellow 400. The motor has been rebuilt but needs a starter. Not bad for $150. The boys will have a good summer.

Superjet-113 they started making the 440 in 1976 and yes they are white, but they also continued to make the 400 up thru 1978 and they are yellow.

gijoe that's a great deal post some pictures of the ski.
