I am trying to put a rn pole on my sn and don't know how to do it.I have a rn bracket but can't see how the hood latch is going to work.Any one have any advice or know of a thread that could help me.Thanks

Just plain me....
Are you talking about the latch or the hood hooks? The latch doesn't change. You need to move the hooks on the hood to line up with your bracket. Or at least that's what I had to do when I put an X Metal on my sn.

Probably won't without serious modification. I used the XMetal bracket specifically for a sn conversion. Not sure what everyone else has done in your case. Try doing a search - I know there are some threads regarding the subject. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I used a conversion bracket, but the stock RN bracket works just fine. It will be easier to relocate the hood hooks outside the bracket. You will need to drill new holes for the hooks on the hood. you can also use the stock SN bracket as well, just make some spacers and do some grinding on the bracket and the pole. This way there is no reason to relocate the hooks. The only downside is that I think it is harder to run a tight pole with that setup.

tyler, you need to put the brackets to the outside of the bracket. i did this conversion for a freind last yr. relocate the hooks as well.

i drilled new mountin holes for the hull side hooks centered between the existing ounting holes, then bolted them thru. put the hood side brackets in place and marked their placement while holding them there. removed the hood and proceeded to drill and bolt them on. small dabs of stick epoxie to seal the old holes and rock out

I just installed a ski innovations conversion bracket on my ski...everything was bolt on, no modification required...even retained the stock hood hook locations and a pole spring...real nice piece, ws a few $$$ but much nicer than modding a stock bracket to work.

I have a few pics from my conversion in this thread...

I have now done this conversion twice, it's not hard, just time consuming...

If you are going with a stock RN pole, CUT THAT BIATCH SON! I cut nearly 5" out of mine and I love it (I am 6'2"), totally changes the handling of the ski. My buddy Travis, cut the same amount out of his (he is 5'6") and he loves it too. Just a suggestion...
