Alright I've got all the normal stock turf off but up at the top there is this rubber "turf" that is glued like no other. anyone have any tips how to get this damn stuff off?

Just did this to my 2012 a couple of days ago... those are definitely tough. Get yourself a utility scraper and start scraping at it at a shallow angle. adhesive remover doesn't help, you just need to take your time with the blade. Don't worry much about scraping the glass, you're going to rough it up to re-turf anyhow.

Go to harbor freight and get their scraper. You will be done in 2 minutes

I ended up getting a tile and glass scraper... basically just a razor blade in scraper form. worked alright.

I havent had to deal with that type of "turf" but a chisel took off the factory stuff on my FX1 tray pretty easily. It got right under the glue and didnt really mess up the gel coat either.
It was a somewhat dull chisel. Like 3/4" or so wide.

The front 2-3 inches and the back corner are the hard parts where they used lots of glue on my 08, and I would love to get ahold of whatever that black adhesive is. I used razor blade and did 1mm at a time, cutting between turf and ski while pulling on the turf. I wanted to keep mine so I could put them back on after returfing and adding footholds. Much harder when trying to salvage them.

I did this a few years ago to an 08. Just used a utility knife. Taking those stupid things off was the worst part of my entire foothold install.
