Super Jet Help with adjusting steering for best results (Xscream)

Hey guys I have the xscream steering system on my 2014 superjet. There is so much adjustment with this thing I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of it. Unfortunately I'm still running the stock steering cable. But I have the nozzle mod done, and have the bar mount cable mount, that is adjustable towards the grip as well as away from the bars. Right now it is up against the turn plate, and about 60-70% the way down the other adjustment. Looking at my nozzle it seems it can turn more (if I trim it, even more). But how I have it setup now is the only way it will hit the steering stop both ways without stressing the cable.

Sounds like you're pretty close. And keeping it hitting the stops both ways is a good thing. Any chance you can post a couple pics?

I will tomorrow. I'm just trying to understand the geometry behind the cable. Xscream said to put the cable bracket about a thumb away from the turn plate. With it this way I couldn't get it to hit the turn plate both ways. Only one or the other.

On a good note, it sounds like your cable is close to centered. That's an easy thing to miss when first starting out. I did lol!

Big thanks to Phil who over the phone was able to get me a good understanding. I was able to get a bit more throw and it seems perfect.

You might try and rotate the bar mounted steering arm down slightly so it's parallel to the cable.

It kept hitting the pole. That's why it is the way it is right now the bolt has to clear it.

Locktite everything and keep an eye on it in surf or hard riding. Mine kept getting lose and it eventually went in the trash.
