Help with how to land after a trick

this winter i just got in to this sport and man do i love it. i bought a rokr with a 700 Yamaha engine, i can get up and ride ok but am trying to do a 180 spin. i have the spin figured out to the point till i hit the water, then when ever i try to ride out of the trick i fall off to ether side of the ski (i think this is just a balance thing i have to work on when i land) or when i do manage to stay on i give it a little gas and the whole ski just wants to roll backwards on to me (like it wants to do a back flip) any tips on how to ride out after i land i would post a video but i just broke my phone when my new one gets in ill try to take one so i can get some pointers thanks

Lean and put your weight forward and get on the throttle right away when your pump gets in the water. Works for 180 spins off of boat wakes, depending on how flat you land. If you end up tail end pretty far down, I usually end up slipping one foot out of the holds and putting it out the back to keep me stable as I lean forward and throttle out. It comes with practice.

When I land back heavy I bend my knees and crouch way down in the tray as for the lean thing try turning the opposite direction of your lean so if your leaning right turn the bars to the left and gas to put the pump back under you hope this helps

Would have had a better clip but buddy who was recording really did not want to be there lol.
Any pointers on form or any thing else?

I found when it feels you're about to fall off or have to bail to the side. SQUAT, put your ass to your heels. Someone said it above. Drop one foot off the back, helps you get your balance. And yeah Truerider411 said it. Try it a little slower.

Throw your entire upper body forward to where you are leaning over the pole as you give it gas, this will stop it from rolling backwards towards you.

I was having the same problem until I shortened the pole (gets you weight forward), I'm running an Xmetal comp pole and it's at the shortest setting now. The one foot rudder works for me too when recovering from a bobble. @wanderer1 might be able to help you with a good starting point for your RRP tube length.

Just starting out this year? More tray time like everyone is saying and then you'll feel how moving forward like others are saying can really help. Lots of figure 8's can help you find the "tip" over points that will help with your landings and recovery. 1 foot ruddering out like JetFiend saidcan help ya move forward too. Ride Ride then go ride lol. Just watched your vid. Good height man, looked good. Pin it when ya hit the water, if ya don't have a 12 vane pump that's where it would help, thrust and power your way out of it. Keep riding and you'll get all that stuff down. Then some power upgrade and youll be killin it P.S. good starting point on those RokR's for pole length seems to be 27" pivot to pivot.

I know how he feels, as soon as you get some feeling for the hull you want to start trying some of those cool tricks that big boys make look so easy! I tried a backie my second ride out, the temptation is overwhelming.
