Super Jet High speed screw seized - any tips?

High speed screw on my slave OEM 38 is seized.
Last night I soaked the screw area in wd40 and really tried to torque down on it, was only able to budge open maybe a 1/8th turn before the flathead on it got completely obliterated :(

Anyone have this issue before and was able to solve it?
Or am I at a loss and just need to buy another 38? :Flush:

I really wish they put T screws in for the high speeds and not just the lows...
Oh and its the coarse thread screw, pre 04 carb

Thanks b.lee, yeah Im def going to try an e-z out. Probably as a last resort though, the screw metal seems pretty soft. But if it works it would totally be worth it if I dont have to buy another carb :)

Wondering if there are any other chemical solutions or something I could try before I go that route though.

WD40 works okay, penetrating oil works much better. PB blaster for example.

Propane torch kits cost about $10 at the hardware store, and replacement propane cost about $3

If the head is shot and you are calling the carb junk anyway...

Clean the head of the screw
fit some paper around the head of the screw to protect the carb
Fill the paper area with JB weld, make sure it only gets on the screw
Stick a screw driver, a dime, a piece of steel, something into the JB weld, let dry

Might work. If you are going to replace the carb anyway, it can't hurt.

Wow never thought about using JB Weld to create a new head on the screw! Thats a great idea!!
Also, will try to find some PB blaster and get that screw turnin once again!!

Thanks Vumad :)
