Other Hitch hauler 1 1/4

I was looking at some hitch haulers for my super and have not found any in 1 1/4 , so I'm wondering if any one uses an 1 1/4 hitch hauler. I think it can handle 350lbs and the ski only weighs around 300 , any thoughts?

)For starters, I'll say that a 1 1/4" hitch hauler is a BAD IDEA. Do you have a class I or class II receiver? ( they are both available in this size, with up to 250 and 300-350max tongue ratings.) A 300Lb ski, if it really weighs only 300Lbs, doesn't sit close enough to the receiver to be compared directly to the "max tongue weight" numbers. The racks weigh something, too. So, ski + hitch rack + extended distance from receiver = too much for a 1 1/4" tube to handle.

yup. asking for trouble.

what hitch did you have on your expedition cause i'm think unless you have what would be concidered a work that that the 1 1/4 hitches have the same rating the escape it a truck chassi

And your ski is going to put more than 300 lbs of force on the receiver anytime you go over a bump... Just a bad idea! I have a class III hitch on my Bronco II and it still worries me to have my ski on there!

It had a class 3 with a tongue weight of 500 pounds. It was substantial but I was still cautious. I have only seen class1 &2 for a 1 1/4 receivers. I think their ratings are 200&350 pounds but read snowxr's post.

Deff only use with a class 3+ reciever. To my knowledge all class 3+ are 2" and 1 & 2 a
I have a class 2 on my subaru ant its 200 tongue weight and 2000 to w weight MAX.
