Hitch haulers and lifted trucks

what do you guys driving lifted trucks do for hitch haulers? With the size of my truck I'm gonna have to drive half way into Lake Erie. Just looking for some ideas and pics

Thanks

The ramp you launch from will play a huge factor in this equation so don't leave out that detail.

If it's steep and deep, things will be much simpler than if it's long and shallow.

The issue I had when I had a 8" lift on F250 was its higher than any beach cart or shop stand. If you drop it down then the ski is in the line of fire for all the road debris coming off the tires.

I used to use mine with my SN and it would catch a lot of crap from my tires, but my new ski has a nice paint job so I am looking at removable mud flaps. The tires on my truck are kinda wide, I think I am going back to the thinner size toyo mt. I haven't had an issue with 6" lift and 35s with beach carts or launching but I could see how 8" with 37s could be tricky at times.

I actually just posted about this in another thread, I have a Super Duty with 6" lift and 37's. I just bought one of these on Amazon, should have it this weekend, I will post my thoughts. I liked the additional angle supports welded to this one rather than just the typical 90 degree welds.

I have a Wrangler JK with 4" lift and 37" tyres so assumed it would be too high. Does anyone have any photos or videos of them backed in the water? Thanks

Just to update this thread, I used the above mentioned drop assembly a handful of times in the past week and it does the trick nicely. There is a slight bit more play obviously from doubling up receivers but the turnbuckle setup on my hauler works well at removing a good amount of the slop by tightening the hauler to the hitch itself.

I build an adjustable carrier that has 10" of up travel and 11" of down travel . I build them in both the standard carrier and also one that you can tow another trailer behind.
