My hood seal is forever coming loose. What is everybody using?

I never would have thought to try super glue. Could you take me through the process? I think of S G as the tiny little tubes. Is there another way to buy it? Do you have time to do the entire seal or do you have to do a small section at a time? Does the S G stick to shiny paint or do you rough it up or remove the paint?

if its just coming up in a spot, SG it down, large areas, use 3M 5200 to glue it down

At the hobby shop they have super glue for RC tires. It's the best!!! Specifically designed to glue rubber to plastic, fiberglass, or whatever.
Yep, seals install easy and dont come loose. No need to sand paint, just wipe hull and seal with alcohol or similiar before gluing.

i use automotive goop, works great, never had a hood seal come off with it and the added advantage is its a sealant and adhesive in one

Just an fyi Superglue is not compatible with all hoods seals, Do Not use it on our Superfreak seals

We use Contact Cement, the hood seal on my BOB hasn't peeled up in the year I've had it.

this is what we all use here in the midwest... i have seen contact cemented seals come up .

I used the supplied adhesive strip on the watcon seal and it has held up for a year so far.

in my experience with superglue, it leaves white discoloration around the contact area. i personally feel there is a better solution. i used 3m weather stripping adhesive from the local parts store and it is still holding strong. its all in the prep, crappy rushed prep/install=crappy longevity.

thats the stuff! its very messy but it does clean up well with acetone.
