Custom/Hybrid How bout another ski build off? Any interest?

It's been years since I've seen a build off... Altoona Southern Fried Freeride to be exact... Lanier build off before...
There are more hulls out than ever, colored fiberglass, different weaves of carbon fiber available that weren't before... And a lot of sick parts that were not available then...
I really enjoyed checking out all the build off skis and just thought we were overdue for another build off...

Any thoughts??? Would anyone else like to see the envelope pushed????

I've seen some really cool AM 550 hulls on some foreign websites... re shaped with wider treys, pump areas, and re shaped hoods!

Build a ski... Enter it in build off... People vote on the one they like... Ideal to take place at a freeride. Winner gets a trophy or something along those lines...

Should be available for test rides, ride ability , no trashing it, but a nice little wave session, unless based on looks alone. Sounds cool.

Yes, and it really should be limited to 650/701 motors only because anyone can build something cool with a lot of money & motor.

I miss my beater ski too! It rode really good and I never stressed out about it running up the rocks or letting someone else take it for a spin

Yeah, everything has gone up a hundred levels in pricing and performance now as well. So spending $ on pretty shiot is adding insult to injury IMO.
I used to want the cleanest sexiest ski on the water, now I want one that hits like a brick shiothouse and rides like I want it and who give a F how it looks LOL.
So I bought a used FREAK and bolted it together with a good drive train and I think I will call it franky the catfish LOL
Looks like a catfish / frankinstein !!!!!!!!!!!!!

a build off huh...you should get 2 440s and take them completely apart and set them up on the beach.whoever can put the ski together and make one complete lap around the buoy course first is the winner.
