I started off with a 98RN that had a dry pipe in it and this is the latest version in the att pic.

1998 RN w/838 5 mil Lamey fed by 2 BlackJack 46's, exhausted by a Crammit carbon limited chamber, fired by MSD m/c t/l, oem pump w/Hooker, Thrust straight pull trim, UMI -2 pole, Wamiltons -2 plate,
Toby chin pad and footholds.

I am a service manager at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Chevrolet Polaris dealership and I can honestly say that very LITTLE of my day job income has gone to my ski. Most of the money tied up is from side work in the garage working on peoples couches, 4 wheelers, mx bikes, Harleys, and so on. I hate side work with a passion and really detest working on a Sea Doo, but when u want new parts bad enuf, you will do dam near anything.
My ski has been a 4 year long work in process and I think I am about done buying anything other than a MAG pump, a/m hull, and RRP pole. Unfortunately, I am a broke azz bytch at the moment stashing money for fuel to ride what I got for the summer. LOL

I got into the sport when i bought a seapoo xp about 4 years ago... and researching problems with it i stumbled upon this site, just from the first few videos and stuff i watched i knew i had the wrong type of ski! After a 750sxi, 650sx, and a x2 i have a 2003 superjet w/ a pretty good setup. I feed this passion by doing detail work at a ford/mercury dealership and making a little pocket change racing dirtbikes.

Dam boy! If I could buff a car worth a dam I would be sporting a new XFT hull !!! Talk about the potential for some SIDE CASH!!! Being in new car dealerships for the last 2 years I have seen several detailers rake in tons of side money.

Hey Gil.....that's how I bought my Jetworks motor, Total Loss, and finally the mag pump - summer side job fixing skis.

Anyways, I started off with a Seadoo GTI in 2003, then another Seadoo XP in 2004. In 2005 I bought an old 650 Superjet and was hooked.
Sold the remaining couch, bought a Roundnose, been downhill ever since.

The sad truth is Cheryl and I both make decent money and live paycheck to paycheck because we hate Dave Ramsey. LOL If it wasn't for side money, I'd still be riding a financed SXR w/ a B pipe and wouldn't that suck! LOL BTW, Art told me to tell you to ship that MAG to Cullman AL for final blueprinting work-should be done by November. LMAO

There is an old thread on PWCT I think where you are talking Pre-Superjet about how to jump your couch higher without hurting yourself or something.
It encourages me to see how even the great ones were noobs once.. .

Alrighty, going out tomorrow.

A couple years ago I had to take a step back and take a few deep breaths.
I was very close to selling it all and giving up.

LOL.....I ain't great. I am just a keyboard cowboy.

I just got into it last year .... I bought a sn hull from jetmaniac and built it up from nothing... I then sold the sn because i had to buy a house...Now that i have my house i decided to build a ski again so i got back into it and built a 550/650 conversion... I then shortly realized i would not be happy with that ski so im giving it to the wife and building a superfreak topdeck conversion with bigbore. I work construction and any side jobs i get go towards the ski's.

I attempted to ride a friend's 550 when I was 14 or so and it always stuck in the back of my mind. I bought a 550sx shortly before I turned 21 and since then I've owned almost every ski Kawasaki's sold, one aftermarket hull and look at me now, I'm back to a 20 year old superjet.

when i was 6 my dad used to let me idle around in circles on a brand spankin new 1991 650sx. i loved jetskis ever since. i had a 1979 440 until i was about 13 and had to sell it because you then had to be 16 to operate a pwc in canada. when i was 19 i bought a 1993 750 sx, broke it, got another, jooined the X then bought a 98 rn hull with pump, pole and hood for 25 bucks! built it up, rode it for 3 years and sold it last season. then i picked up a 2002 sj that had 5 original tanks of gas thru it. now the engine is at jetworks and im broke as hell.....better then drugs and alcohol! in that time ive been an automotive machinest, pwc mechanic, ship mechanic and now millwright apprentice. proud to say ive never owned a couch...other then the one im sitting on

Started with buying a 3 seater and then less than a month later I went to Wave Daze and realized they still make these things lol and are a ton more fun. Bought my RN in 08 and just bought a SN last week. Sadly I'm still in the noob stage.

i was into street bikes. i had an rc51. one day my friend and i were talkin about jet skis and he said "why dont we get a couple of those stand up things, they are cheap and it will be like a motorcycle on water." so we bought a couple 650sx's. the fallowing summer we met the cleveland a crew. one day madmatt asked me if i had ever ridden a superjet. i told him no and he said " DUDE, take mine and let me ride that old beast ya got there" needless to say i went home that night and put the RC51 up for sale, sold it in 5 days and bought a superjet in omaha nebraska, drove 31 hours round trip. i went uout the next day and launched it off a nice wave and broke the handle pole. it was then that i realized that a ski will never be cheap ever ever again and its been downhill ever since.
