How difficult is it to remove the steering cable on a 2008 SXR??

Guys,
How hard is it to change out the steering cable on a 2008 800 SXR??
It looks like you have to remove the Ride Plate, and then take the cable off from the back, and then pull it all the way out of the pole.
Is that correct??

Are there other parts that have to be removed??
Is it a pain in the ass??
Anything to watch out for??

I havent done my sxr cable yet but they are all the same basically. Basically yes. You need to remove the parts on the pole end of the cable. Its pretty easy and straight forward. Sometimes the cable gets snagged on things going in, the only trick i know is patience.

It is very easy you have lots of room in there to ease it around stuff
