How do I get the driveshaft out of my SuperJet?

I just received my Concord and need to know how to swap it out.

The SXR pump pulled out and left the driveshaft in place but I think the SuperJet is different.

Does the driveshaft simply pull out with the pump or do I need to do something more at the coupler?

Thanks. :1244:

The driveshaft just pulls out with the pump. The pump sometimes takes a bit of breaking loose, and there are a couple of short dowels that located it, so you'll probably need to lever it down to break the seal and clear the dowels. Once you've done that it comes right out. Did you get the prop removal tool? You'll need that to put the Concorde on, and a spline holder is a wonderful thing when pulling the old one off. You might need a little heat too depending on how long the old one has been on there. Use some anti-seize on the new one - you'll thank me later :)

Don't forget that the prop is a lefty thread. You will have to crank it clockwise / to the right to loosen it. Get the proper tools and make sure you have the spline holder in a big vise and crank it down tight. Like Brit said you might have to use some heat if it wont pop loose, but when it does they ususally go with a bang! Good luck, anti seize is your friend.

I couldn't hold the fcuking shaft still and I don't have the spline tool so I'm taking the removed and disassembled pump to Southaven Kawasaki Yamaha tomorrow and see if those guys can swap them out. :banghead:

I would get the spline tool and do it myself but the skis are going in the lake this Sunday and time is an issue. :1244:
