Shonuff's plan X5.

That involves a little effort, though, and Shawn is looking for the easy way out.

Maybe Shonuff will clean The Penquin's nuts?!? :dunno:

I tried buffing my nuts and they just rusted faster.

Take a look at my right front engine mount bolt. :scared: :aargh4:

Make sure you tap the holes of the nuts, and use a die on the bolts also.

Although is has not happened to me, I have heard that chasing the threads everytime is not the best practice on parts you remove frequently. Each time to do it, it takes a small about of alum (and threadloc) off the threads and it ends up at the bottom of the bolt hole. It can build up over time and can lead to stripped threads since the bolt can not go to the bottom anymore.

Yamaha bolt are chrome plated steel, if they get crusty enough the chrome comes off when you wire wheel them . . . . . .

When ever my ski is gonna see salt water I hose it down with liquid wrench before and after I ride.

I use the stuff in the Blue can not the Yellow can. The stuff in the yellow can has some black Graphite crap in it, it's more of a penetrant for stuck bolts . . . .
