How long does your battery last with your TL?

Just wondering what everyone's luck is with their total loss. I have a new-ish battery and think it's bad already. Damn thing lasts like one tank of fuel and then blamo, dead. It's frustrating because unless I bring another battery or take it in and put it on charge, I'm out for the rest of the day. The first ride of the year it lasted like 3 tanks.

Everyone I've talked to told me they should last 3-4 tanks of gas. I figure I had 6-7 starts on it before it died. It's an oddysey battery for what it's worth.

I run Jetworks batteries in my ski's and they go 2 weeks or 4-5 tanks each between charges. 2 ski's have analog and 1 has multi channel digital. I will never buy any other battery besides the Jetworks batteries-u get what u pay for w/u buy Jetworks. My last JW battery made it 5 years!!!

I had an oddessey dry cell with jetinetics TL and I went 3 days of riding straight (10am till sundown) burned a lot of gas and was still cranking 100% when I got home on sunday. That is the longest I had gone without charging but I am sure it could have gone longer.

It's a safe bet that all three opinions on riding times above were given with an MSD TL in mind.

Is it possible you have a bad starter that's using up the battery amps? How about the battery cables, are any of them warm to touch after cranking the starter? Always try another battery too, we use Odyssey's and once in a while get a bad one.

i have a 7 lbs battery that lasts 2 hours, i have a 9 lbs deka AGM that lasts twice aslong. I now bring them both alone on a full day ride. and swap out if need be.
