Freestyle How many are Flatwater Flipping?

I am the only guy in my area that I know of that is into flatwater stuff. And I have had quite a few people ask me how many people do it and really have no idea what to tell them. So looking for some opinions...

Setup wake only flips and spins, how many people in the States (we can add you canucks if you want) do you guys think are doing it? My guess is more than 500 and less than 1000. But really all i have to go off of is forums and facebook.

Would be interesting to see by ride group/area as many dont come on this site.

4 out of Charlotte, NC area are Flatwater Flipping at the moment.

I think there's two of us in the redondo beach/hermosa beach area flatwater flipping. 2 more up in Bakersfield.

Longbeach, at the end of Granada ave. Otherwise we ride surf, or i drive up to bako.

Ontario riders flipping that I can name offhand is a dozen, so there may be up to 20 of us. Be curious to get a list going. Id say all of Canada may only have 50-100 skis and owners capable of flipping.

I see the USA as 10x bigger than Canada in most ways, so 500-1000 is not unreasonable. I figure with the warmer weather you should be well over 1000.

We have a few down here that are into the flatwater stuff, I mess around with it some when I dont have a boat to chase. As of now, I can only roll and 360 flatwater, need a wave for the flip.

Flatwater flip plate/plate = 4

Flatwater attempt and nose in = 5

It's fairly easy to flatwater flip if you have the right setup and a lot of HP.

cut your rideplate flush & get some straight bars

Two of us in Central Cali. Come up to Bakersfield sometime. We have a good amount of standups here and rangers tend to treat us better than the couch riders, lake isn't as strict as some of the other cali lakes. Also, looking at renting the lake for a day and a local buddy has a private lake a few miles away we are going to try and fill with standups sometime this summer if we think we can get enough riders
