Just took a Vaca to Cabo with my fiancé and my soon to be mother-in-law surprised me with a half hour Flyboarding session.
It was Awesome! If you get a chance, you need to try it!

It's a nice alternative to jet skiing. There is nothing like it. There are companies around the US that offer lessons and are flyboard dealers.

It's another great toy for the water!

Tried it at the Carolina Beach freeride a few months ago as they were able to negotiate price was discounted to $35 for 15-20 minutes. I was surprised how natural it felt. If you can walk you can fly. Not sure if I would do it again (at least not unless the price way way down) or I had a friend that had one. Rather jetski, alot more fun.

tried it here in Haiti. I was alot of fun. takes a few tries to get the hang of it and i would have liked having the throttle control in my hands!

Agreed
there were a few times the trainer thought i didn't have control and killed it. The inconsistent throttle makes it unpredictable.

$35 a half hour is amazing. I think we paid close to 4x that.

where is the throttle?

The dude on the ski does it and it's supposed to make it easier so you don't have to think about it. It's true part of the time. He said there is a wireless one for people that are good, but not recommended for newbies.

I did it when DAG did. I won it free in the raffle. Great one time thing but skis are way more fun.

Ive only done it with someone on the ski doing throttle, but i like it.
he can hold steady at 6500RPM, and i can go anywhere from 45 feet, to walking on water, to under water...

Once the driver and rider are in sync, there is really no need for the throttle control. You can do anything you want like Chris said. The throttle control would be fun, but definitely not needed. If anyone wants to try it the water isn't too cold yet. Let me know.

I've never tried it and to be honest it looks like something that would get old pretty quick. That being said, Frankie Zapata was killing it at the World Finals, He made it look like somethng I'd like to try. Now if they can just figure out a wat to get rid of that damned hose that connects you to the mother ski!!

I did not know until now the jet ski sitter controlled the throttle. That's a major bummer to me. Throttle is everything to me on the water especially!

I would definetly throw 35 bucks at it to get 20 minutes. It's not something I could see myself wanting to do every day though. My water sports craving is definitely satisfied by the ole water scooter!
