Other How to post full size pictures in a thread so that they don’t appear as a thumbnail?

Forgive me, I’m kind of computer illiterate. I want to post full size pics in a thread, not thumbnails. I know they need to be linked through photobucket, and I’ve got my account already but this is were it all goes gray. I have no idea how to link/post them to the X Can anyone explain, step by step how to do this? (in as much detail as possible, remember I’m not so good with computers and whats obvious to most goes over my head)

I've never used photobucket, only Picasa (google) and you can't embed anything over 800px which is the same as what the forum resizes to.

Also, embedding full size pics really screws up the layout for people running lower resolution.

Host the picture at any photo hosting site. Get the direct link to the picture (copy it), then wrap it in the img tag.

Like this [ img ] link to picture.jpg[/ img ]


Remove the spaces inside the brackets

Find a pic you like on the web, or upload one to photobucket or any other hosting site, then right-click the picture and "copy image location" or whatever that option is for your browser.

Then, in a post, put

around the address you copied, like

[IMG]http://strangepictures.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/funny-japanese-pillow-invention.jpg[/img]

so you get
