Super Jet How to remove sticker residu ?

So I just purchase a Superjet that had flame on it. So obviously, I removed them !

Now, I have to remove all the sticky residue from the decal.
I tried Goo Gone which didn't work at all !
I tried lighter fluid which didn't work!
I tried brake cleaner which work ok with a paint scraper but It scratches all my paint and there is still residue left
I tried a pretty aggressive product that remove everything including the glossy of my paint

It took me 1 hour to do only the hood.

3M General Adhesive Cleaner and if that doesn't work I use one of these

I use a rubber eraser wheel and a little acetone on a rag to get that stuff off. Its easier to use the wheel while the sticker is still on though.

make sure to clean and wax after getting acetone on the paint.

I use petrol on a rag and it removes the old residue in seconds

you must got some good petro over there in ireland. usa gas is 1/2 water

Yeap, I'll need to use acetone to remove everything. It leaves a matte paint finsh but I'm going to wrap the hole superjet ... anyway it's a pain in the as* lol

If you keep anything flammable away, a heat gun could potentially help too.

Try the thinner, alcohol or the petrol for the removal of residue. You can also try the spirit. All these things wok pretty well for the removal of residue.

I used Mek on a rag with one of those plastic drawer dividers that are in tackle boxes to scrap it off. It works really well and doesn't scratch cause its in the rag.

Eraser wheels are the best way. I've tried many chemicals and methods, and always go back to the wheels.

Napa paint center sells eraser wheel kit including air tool for about $40. Best $ I've spent in a while. I stripped an entire 94' 550 of decals in 45 minutes. Took 2 wheels to do it but they were like petrified stickers. Go get one!

Man you should have put the heat to that as soon as it started coming off like that..

We use gas on a clean rag to get that off. The turf came off the rails of our sxr and the glue was still on there and the gas even took that off, we just had to scrub really hard. cant even tell anything was there now
