SX/SXi/SXi Pro hull fittings

how do you guys put the cooling hoses on the stock fitting coming from the pump. it looks to be 1/2 in. but the hose is 3/8.

the stock kawi hoses. they are 1/2 reduced to 3/8. if you dont have those then i use a 1/2 hose and a plastic straigt reducer i got it a west marine i think
