Hydro Turf and wedge project

Im still very new at this stuff. Prob not the best work, but still learning. Thanks to Shawn we found the foam pieces they use when shipping Yamahas. Very high density foam.

Foam pieces worked perfect for making the kicker on the back and the wedges. They come as small blocks. Just glued as many as you want together for desired size

After they dried I was able to grind them down and shape them.

It will be interesting to see how long the lifters last. I think the turf will want to tear on the underside of the lifters, and fold up where the lettering is. The jet trim mats have a similar feature however they almost span the entire mat.

Good on you for trying something different.

A buddy of mine did something similar to his ski and they lasted about 2 months. Then he installed foothold. Hopefully yours will lasts longer.

I tried the same thing last year. They only lasted a month. They flex and move a lot more then you think on the lake. It looks like you just glued yours on. Mine had screws into the hull also.

Well since I'm just learning to ride I don't think they will get to much abuse for awhile. Hope they last for awhile. Once 8 get good I will just buy footholds and be done.
