The extended rails that I have seen and dealt with were simply flat turf with another layer of either grooved or diamond turf over them.

A lot of Blowsions stuff is very well thought out and very well tested equiptment. A lot of it is very simple and can be done yourself if you dont want to pay that much.

yeah i dont doubt that but im just curious what the hell im going to see if i opened up the box for this set up and how it would be installed

PM Lou and ask for a picture of the XFT rails. They are pretty awsome. They are like a 1 inch thick piece of turf glued to the side of the hull then the diamond turf is wraped around that. Really nice work

But it is all in preference I don't play on the hood enough to warrant rail extentions.

I dout you'll be riding enough flat water in oceanside to need them. :) There nice for when you actually gotta stand or grab the rails on ball breakers or 5050s...about it though

Its a strip of high density closed cell foam (must be closed cell) with the normal Hydroturf side rails fitted over the top -they have enough material to cover the additional (less excess is cut off when finished) - foam used for canoe boyancy is suitable.

They do affect the handling a bit (ski less tippy for rolls and stabs) - bit like tubbies perhaps - but grate for old school hood tricks if that's your thing.
