Hydro Turf or OEM hood seal

First I'll say Hello, I'm a newbie. Read alot-rarely post. Anyway, I'm looking for input. Hydro Turf offers a hood seal for $100.00 less than OEM. Has anyone tried the hydro turf seal? Would I end up going OEM in the long run? ('04 SJ). Thanx

That could be the worst $15 you spend on your ski. The OEM is pricey but trust me it works. I used the Hydro turf one for a few months and my hood kept poppin open. after just about losing my hood a few times and sinking my ski i went oem and haven't looked back.

I tried the hydro turf seal many years ago on a square a couple times and after a short time it compresses down and stays. Then it drys out quick.

ya a dilema I am soon to run into. I was gonna go with a hydro turf hood seal on my SJ. I have a Hyrdo-turf hood seal on my ol' 550 and they work like oem. But I can see how nice the yamaha oem hood seals are. I just wish they were cheaper good or not they are spendy!!!
