Hydro turf with 3m sticky?

I just bought some hydro turf with the 3m sticky to save myself the contact cement? Does it work good?

i got that stuff, i wont get it again. it works good for flat surfaces, but when you try to bend it around an unusual shape, it doesnt always stay stuck. i also get water under it around some of the edges. and it doesnt stick to my footholds very good in some spots. ill just buy the turf, and get glue from homedepot next time. but hey, it was work a try.

oh i forgot to add i tried to use it to cover a chin pad, and i ended up wrapping duct tape around the whole thing to keep it down. ( it didnt stay on around the edges )

ohh thats good to know, i tried turfing with weld wood contact cement, but didnt have the some of the areas sanded down enough and that ******** wouldnt stick to a flat surface good

Forget 3M tape for water purposes- it sucks. Use Hydroturf cement or go to Home Depot and get some in a can.
