new to the site love this place anyway i know this is kinda broad ? but whats the best way to strip of the old mat ant put on this new hydro turf i gots ? thanx G

It only took me about an hour and a half to remove my old turf.

Get off what you can by simply pulling a little up at a corner, slicing the underside with a blade, the pulling more up. Then use a 5" sanding pad on the end of a drill. You can prep the tray for turf in an hour. Don't do what most people do and try to get it looking perfect. You should scuff everything before you lay the new turf anyway so why worry about it looking pretty?

I used a wire wheel. In any case, you are correct: hack at it with power tools and the uglier it looks the better the glue will adhere.

I forgot to mention a wire wheel. Some of the thicker turf will destroy a sanding pad really quick. Turf is no match for a wire wheel.

Wear a breathing mask though! I'm pretty sure your lungs aren't supposed to be lined with Weldwood and Hydroturf!!

it came w/ a foam layer are you huys glueing that on first then the turf glued to foam? G
