Freestyle Hydroturf and padding inside the footholds ?!!!!

I just got some wcf footholds and am ready to glue down the mats but i was wondering if i should

1. put the 8 mill padding on the entire inside of the footholds
2. put padding just on the bottom of the footholds
3. or just padding on the top inside of the foothold

I have a size 12 foot any help/input would be great thanks

They say you want to be able to kick into the footholds.. I dont even have turf on my ski just a thin layer on the inside of my holds cause i was getting bruised feet :/

Put on your riding shoes and custom fit the pad with turf to your foot, should be a very snug fit. You can shave the pad a little at a time with a wood rasp or a Surform tool.
You don't need padding on the sides, but padding on top and bottom of your foot makes it very comfortable.
Hopefully the WCF holds have enough room to pad top and bottom, I know the Tom21s do and are awesome.

I didnt pad mine enough, I just did one layer of 8mm, and my feet hurt the next day after I ride. I wish I would have done tom21 holds so I could pad them more.

Yes more=better. When you get your footholds installed, temporarily lay the padding and turf on the bottom. Then temporarily stuff some padding and turf at the top. It'll all fall down but no big deal. Now the real test...take a sponge or wet rag and wipe the turf and your shoes down so they're wet. Hold the turf somewhat apart so you can slip your foot in. If you can get more than a toe in, it's probably too loose. If it feels tight, slam your foot in their like you're going to toe kick a ball. You can play around with various thicknesses until you find what feels comfortable and secure.
