Kickers are shaped to fit RN (96+) hulls. They require cutting and reshaping to fit a SN tray. That's probably the most likely reason that they don't offer a kicker kit for a SN. The RN turf kit will not work for a SN, because the turf will not be the right shapes to use on a SN.

If you are dead set on the kickers, you can just order the footholds and then buy all the padding and a sheet of turf separately. You'll have to do a little extra cutting, glass work, and you'll have to cut the turf yourself but that's what the majority of us do anyway.

idk i had footstraps and they worked well and everything but just took up too much room in the tray the work doesnt bother me that much because i broke my tray and have to do a lot of fiberglass work anyway. i have heard of people making there own? i have no experience with the footholds so any input on which ones are best or if its worth making your own would help me a lot

nobody suggested making your own footholds they said to make your own patterns for the whole sheet of hyrdroturf. if you take some paper or carboard you can make a patern of the tray pieces and transfer that to the sheet and cut your own turf. its not hard and saves you a bunch and if you take your time it will most likely turn out nicer than a precut kit ever could hope to.

The amount of time an getting materials can be easily avoided by getting real footholds. They're not hard to install, pretty basic

And the homemade holds always end up looking like Kevin Malone's shoes on the wedding episode of The Office.

I never EVER buy a turf kit. I cut turf from my own patterns. (ok, it helps that I have my own brand of turf, and an endless supply of sheets) Footholds and placement are topics for endless debate here. Personally, I would lean toward Tom21 fotholds. They have lots of room for padding, and would allow you to shape the padding to best fit your feet.

well i guess homemade are out might just try it on a rainy day for the heck of it i have been looken around and most people are either going for the WCF or REV...looking for great freestyle ones for surf and flat water ...opinions (details)?!

Unless your feet are huge rev's suck. They are cheap but poorly designed. The newer designs from Tom21, WCF, etc. have a lot more going for them.

i dont know what you would call huge i wear size 12 will kickers, wcf, rickters, and tom21 fit well b/c seems to me most footwells are for people with smaller feet....personally i have no idea just want to make sure what i get fits well........pretty much depending on what you guys have to say

I wear an 11/12 an the rickers are awesome. I didn't pad them tho ; (. If I did they'd be the best. The rok looks to have nicer holds then my rev, gonna cut the enclosure plate an pad/turf them.
