I have less brap than he does... why do you think?

I have been talking to Art at jetworks about this, but I just thought I'd write a post to see what you all thought also.

Bluegtate and I have practically identical setups with the exception that he has V Force II's reeds and I have V Force I's. He also has a limited chamber while I have a mod. Other than that, identical setups. He has a 13/16 solas 3mm cutback while I have the new 9/15 hooker prop, which should have better bottom end than the solas.

Bluegtate got his ski power tunned at Jetworks, and I have tried to match his setup exactly, but no matter what I do, his has that more brap on the bottom end compared to mine. Trying to figure it out. Bluegtate's is the hardest hitting stock 701 I have ridden.

62t Cases, 61x cylinder
Riva Single carb conversion manifolds
46 blackjack carb
B pipe
175lbs compression
MSD enhancer
Flow control valve
Light flywheel

I'm trying to figure out whether maybe my reeds are just worn out, as I have read the VF I's commonly do, or maybe my engine is just tired and needs a rebuild, at least a top end rebuild.

From what I have read chambers make more of a difference when the head pipe is tunned for top end, so I don't think a swap would be necessary.

Head pipes are tunned the same, same water line routing, same in line restriction.

Don't really have the ability to check timing.

yea..thats a good plan..although chris for your motor being unported it is pretty powerfull..i think once you have a bit more power/hookup it will be more confidence inspiring to get in the critical spot knowing you can just blip the throttle and be instantly back in the power..i know it helped me allot

two engine builders have told me that msd enhancers vary on how much they advance timing as verified by both builders using a light on them...some recent built enhancers do not advance very much they say....
