96-2007 round nose superjet with footholds, B pipe, and a prop should be your target ski IMO. And a steering system. Don't mess around.

No worries, you're on the right track.

There's just no need to ask the same question in starting two separate threads.

For freestyle/freeride there is no choice but the Superjet. The SXR is a good race ski but too big and clumsy for freestyle/freeride without major work. Superjet is cheaper to mod and a lighter ski you can throw around. I have both. But the SXR is for the wife. Something that does not take much effort to ride. Fun once and a while but not as good for freestyle as my superjets.

for 3k you can probably get a heavily modified sn sj or a lightly modded rn sj

im in the same boat as you, looking to get a sj for <3k. Just check craigslist every day or two, or shop around on here.

can you help me with the lingo and abberivations.what type of superjet will be good for me.why not the 800sx.keep in mind i am in my early 40s.I AM IN VERY GOOD SHAPE.are you saying the superjet for tricks is it stable on long rides. The ocean is around 1 1/2 from where I launch I need a ski that I can ride for long periods of time that is stable.not popping out of the water all the time.Is the superjet also stable or not

stable is a relative term. in tampa we ride a mile to the ride spot same in sebastian. I think in st. augustine they ride about 1.5 miles to their spot. so, a sj is capable of what you're asking.

an SXR is more stable than an sj though.

Just get a 96-2007 Yamaha Superjet with as many surf upgrades as possible and learn how to ride it and don't look back.

Do it. Today. Buy a Superjet.

That is as simple as we can put it. :smokin:

Or get an SX-R if you plan on the pump never leaving the water.:poke:

I just bought my first stand up and i live in nj.. i had to buy it from FL and i got a CRAZYY good deal on a 05 round with b pipe.. so you shouldddd be able to find something within 6 hrs driving distance. Check every state locally on craigslist!!!

I had Kawasakis back in the day too. I made the mistake of buying kawasaki again when I got back into it, then I rode a superjet. Immediately sold the kawis and bought Superjet. If you are into jumping and tricks it's the way to go. Plus they are more reliable.
