Blaster I picked up highly modified blaster and need help identifying upgrades

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and a new Blaster rider. I picked up a very nice 93 Blaster with what appears to be a modified 701 motor. The motor case reads Hyper Drive TSA #37, Cool Head, R&D Intake with Twin Makuni Carbs, Factory B pipe, aftermarket water box, etc.. Does anyone know what TSA#37 is and hyper drive?? I should probably check the compression tomorrow to see what type of fuel I should run in this ski. Let me know what you guys recommend. I'll post a pic in a moment.

Thanks!

TSA#37 is the serial ID# of your onboard flight data recorder to be retrieved and played back in the event of a crash or water landing...

alot of engine builders back in the day as well as the present..will scribe or engrave their intials or some sort of identification as to who and what was done to that engine. Such as "TSA" could be someones initials or a the abbreviation of a race shop. " hyper drive"?- Not sure, the cylinder is most likely ported for a race application. as well as the cylinder and pistons could be bored and increased displacment. judging by the mods in the pic, someone raced that or at least put some money and time into it. check your compression, it will be high im guessing do to the head. you will want to run at least high test fuel and go from there up to see how she responds. check the ebox too to see if there is a any cdi modifications as well. Nice setup. good luck

I see some purple on those carbs, maybe buckshots? Lets see a pic down the throat of the carbs. Looks nice!

That brass fitting on the head pipe is the water injection point. When no spray bar is in place, just plug it up.
